Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy is a lifelong condition brought about by extensive injury to the cerebrum, an area of the brain responsible for coordination of motor skills. Patients afflicted with cerebral palsy will have varying degrees of difficulty controlling the movements of muscles and limbs as well as learning disabilities, speech problems, and vision and hearing difficulty. Studies have shown that at least 5000 infants and toddlers and 1,200 to 1,500 preschoolers are diagnosed with cerebral palsy each year. Since cerebral palsy is often due to a complication at birth, medical negligence is sometimes the underlying cause. Many times it's a failure to recognize that there's a problem with an infant during labor. Our law firm has extensive experience with cerebral palsy litigation and can help you get the compensation you deserve. Call our office today.
